On April 4, 2023, the Moscow Moskvich Automobile Plant, in the presence of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, signed an agreement with Flot LLC (a division of Yandex that supplies cars for taxis and car-sharing) on the supply of 2,000 Moskvichi 3e electric vehicles for Yandex.Taxi partner taxi fleets. This is the largest contract in the world to supply electric vehicles to taxi and car-sharing services this year.
In February 2023, Moskvich and Yandex signed an agreement of intent to supply 3,000 Moskvich 3 crossovers for taxis and car sharing. The first 50 Moskvich 3 cars equipped with a gasoline turbo engine were added to one of the partner taxi fleets Yandex.Moscow Taxi in April.
The Moskvich 3 urban crossover and the Moskvich 3e electric car will provide the necessary level of comfort for taxi drivers and passengers. Drivers will appreciate their practicality: ground clearance and good visibility. And the spacious trunk of the models will allow you to easily place bags, large suitcases, child seats and other things you need while traveling. For passengers, there are comfortable armrests with cup holders, USB sockets for charging electronic devices, attachments for child car seats and plenty of space to get comfortable in the back seat.
Taxi passengers and users of the car-sharing service will benefit from modern, safe and high-quality cars. They will be practical for daily trips and will provide a high level of comfort.
Also, as part of the event, a new model was presented at the plant – the brand’s first sedan – Moskvich 6. The car will go on sale in the second half of this year. Detailed specs and pricing will be revealed later.
Moskvich 6 is a C-class sedan with an expressive design. The model has a high level of comfort, well-thought-out ergonomics, modern options, wide multimedia capabilities and a spacious trunk. The car is perfect for daily trips around town.
At present, the Moskvich plant has already assembled 7,000 cars. Plans for 2023 are to assemble 50,000 cars, including 10,000 units with an electric motor.
