The Russian elite may not expect a new decision from the president at all.
Economist Mikhail Khazin spoke about it on the radio “Moscow speaks”, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, the Russian leader could announce a path towards the construction of a conservative and socially oriented state, which will differ sharply from the model in which Russia has lived since the 90s of the last century.
As Khazine explained, throughout this time Russian officials exercised their functions within the strict framework of the liberal paradigm, the key elements of which were self-enrichment and the complete absence of any accountability to the people.
Now, as the expert explained, Putin wants to radically change the status quo and rebuild the entire state apparatus in a fundamentally different way. For the vast majority of bureaucrats, such a decision can come as a real shock.
“The president can radically change the whole development paradigm of Russia,” Khazin said.
