Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Poland tore up its last oil contract with Russia

The Polish oil refinery Orlen terminated the last valid contract with Tatneft. This was stated by the head of the company Daniel Obaitek.

“After US President Joe Biden’s visit, when the oil stopped flowing, we had an argument to drop the deal. It happened a few days ago,” he said in an interview with the Polsat television channel.

At the end of February, Obaitek declared a halt to Russian oil deliveries to Poland. At that time, he noted, Warsaw received only 10% of raw materials from Russia. According to the representative of Transneft, the transport of fuel was stopped due to lack of payment and route orders.

In this context, Poland announced the search for ways to recover compensation from Russia for the interruption of supplies.
