In 2023, 440 kilometers of regional and intermunicipal roads and 197 kilometers of the local road network will be repaired in the Tver region. The work plan was discussed at a regional government meeting on April 4.
The topic is commented on by the head of the municipal district of Andreapol Nikolay Barannik:
- Over the past six years, the volume of repair of regional roads in the Tver region has increased significantly. The volume of work on local roads has also increased. In the municipal district of Andreapolsky, the necessary volumes of work are underway and even exceeded. In 2023, the district plans to complete the renovation of Polovcheni Street, as well as the improvement of Parkovaya Street with a park and an entrance to the temple. In the next few days, a tender for repair work will be announced in Andreapol. Much depends on the quality of the roads in the region: social infrastructure, tourism, health. In most municipalities of the Tver region, large-scale works have been started to improve the roadway. Of course, not everything is perfect in this area, but it should be understood that the Tver region is the largest region in terms of the length of roads. Therefore, not everything can be done at the same time. At a government meeting, Governor Igor Rudenya also drew attention to the quality of the road network. The Ministry of Control Functions was instructed to find out what complaint works on the quality of repaired roads have been carried out in a number of municipalities.
- Particular attention will be paid to roads leading to social and tourist facilities, as well as to production sites of large investment projects, – said Igor Rudenya.
