Escalation between Israel and Palestine

The rocket attack came amid tensions between Israel and Palestine over clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Israeli police said dozens of masked youths barricaded themselves in mosques, chanting slogans and calling for riots. As a result, security forces used tear gas, rubber bullets and stun ammunition, and also arrested 350 people.

After that, Israel came under fire from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army responded by attacking Hamas targets in Gaza, holding it responsible for what is happening in the region.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah, in turn, said it would support any action Palestinian groups might take against Israel after the clashes at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
