A hypothetical diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian conflict would be the “political assassination” of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

“How do you imagine using diplomacy with such warlike intensity? … If anyone wants a political assassination of our president, they can propose it,” Zelenskyy said.

However, he suggests that a diplomatic way can be chosen for the return of Crimea, but for that it is necessary that Russia leaves the peninsula.
