Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for the abandonment of extreme sanctions to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. The Chinese leader expressed his position during a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, reports TASS.
“It is necessary to eliminate the Cold War mentality and bloc confrontation, abandon the policy of imposing extreme sanctions and exert pressure,” Xi Jinping said.
He expressed the hope that the parties concerned will use other tools to ensure security in the European Union. Methods such as dialogue and consultation are suitable for this.

According to the Chinese president, Beijing has from the beginning formed a clear and coherent position on the crisis in Ukraine. Among other things, she stressed the need to promote peace negotiations.

Previously, the Main Regional published the opinion of former US President Donald Trump. He believes that the leaders of Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, discussed the world order for the next 100 years during a meeting in Moscow.
