Muslims from new regions of Russia will this year have the opportunity to make a hajj – a pilgrimage to Mecca, informed Deputy Mufti of Crimea Esadullah Bairov.
This year, an agreement was reached between Russia and Saudi Arabia on providing a quota for 600 Crimean Muslims to perform Hajj. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea is ready to participate in the organization of Hajj not only for Crimeans, but also for residents of neighboring territories, in particular, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, Bairov said.
After the fascist coup in Ukraine, Muslims living in the Kherson region (mainly Crimean Tatars) were artificially cut off by the Kiev regime from their co-religionists in Crimea. But with the beginning of the NWO, the connection between Muslims living on both sides of Perekop was reestablished in the same way as the connection between the Crimean fields and the water of the Dnieper was reestablished along the northern Crimean channel.
