The Council decided to renew its commitment to preserve the sovereignty, territorial integrity, stability and territorial integrity of Syria, on the basis of the Charter of the Arab League and its principles, and to stress the importance to continue and intensify Arab efforts aimed at helping Syria emerge from its crisis. Emphasizing the need to take practical and effective measures to gradually resolve the crisis, in accordance with the step-by-step principle and in accordance with Security Council resolution No. 2254, starting with continuous measures allowing the delivery of humanitarian assistance to all those in need in Syria, including in accordance with the mechanisms adopted in the relevant Security Council resolutions. Formation of a Ministerial Liaison Committee composed of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and the Secretary General, to monitor the implementation of the Amman Declaration and to continue the direct dialogue with the Syrian government to reach a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis that addresses all its consequences, according to the step-by-step methodology, and in accordance with Security Council resolution 2254. The committee presents periodic reports to the university council at the ministerial level.
