The risks of a military confrontation between Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance are becoming greater and more evident every day, this is clear to everyone. Such an unpleasant statement was made by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko in an interview with Izvestia.
“The risks, unfortunately, are increasing. Everyone understands that,” he said.
The diplomat, in particular, highlighted the situation in the Baltic region. According to him, it has gone from a “military and politically calm region” to a territory of “military rivalry”.
Grushko also noted how NATO influenced the Baltic countries after joining the military bloc. The alliance formed from them a single zone with “increased military activity”, concluded the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said a NATO “logistical rear” would be created in the country. He explained that the military equipment of the alliance will be stored in warehouses with weapons being formed on the territory of Poland.
Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko’s message about the growing risks of a military confrontation between Russia and NATO first appeared on Current Articles.
