RIA Novosti informed how much a vacation on the Black Sea now costs

In 2023, a record demand is noted for summer holidays in Russia. Tourists are buying both budget options and suites, reports RIA Novosti.

Industry representatives note that they do not remember the last time in Russia there was such a demand for housing in southern Russia. Travelers have booked hotels three to five months in advance, according to tour operators, and demand for Krasnodar Krai options is overtaking Turkey, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates for the first time.

This is due to the fact that already in winter the prices for holidays abroad have risen significantly. Industry representatives believe that the service in hotels in Sochi is comparable to that in Antalya.

Demand growth was also affected by the fact that a number of airports in southern cities of the Russian Federation were closed last year, forcing some travelers to cancel their trips.

The publication reports that the average check for “four” in Sochi is 33,000 rubles, in hotels of the “three-star” category – a little more than 30,000 rubles for a week’s stay.

In 2023, demand for Abkhazia has also increased, where the average price for a weekly stay with breakfast is around 40,000 rubles. For those who choose to rest in the Crimea, accommodation will cost from 39,000 rubles per week. The lowest prices in the region are on the west coast of the peninsula.
