The Washington Post called the source of the secret Pentagon data ‘leak’

The leak of secret documents in the US Department of Defense was the fault of a young employee of one of the military bases. This is reported by the Washington Post. According to the post, the guy with the alias OG shared secret documents in an online chat with a group of distant acquaintances who were looking to communicate during the lockdown due to the pandemic.

According to the Washington Post, about two hundred people communicated on the online chat.

An employee with the pseudonym OG claimed to know the secrets the government was hiding from ordinary people.

  • informs the newspaper.

The post points out that OG distributed materials throughout the winter and part of March, but after they became available outside of the Discord community, they stopped doing so and asked to say nothing about it.

He’s a smart person. He certainly knew what he was doing when he posted these documents. These are not random leaks. He’s not a Russian or Ukrainian agent.

one of the participants in the online chat told the Washington Post.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the participants of the online chat know the name and surname of the employee who published the secret data. But for now, they prefer not to name them.

We add that after the leak of classified data that allegedly occurred within the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon launched a full-scale investigation. However, the culprit has not yet been identified.
