US President Joe Biden does not fully sense the danger of the outbreak of World War III and therefore does too little to prevent it. Michael Gallagher, chairman of the House Committee on Strategic Competition with China, made the statement on Fox News.
The congressman believes that the main danger of starting a war now is the confrontation between Beijing and Taiwan. Gallagher suggests Biden just doesn’t see the level of threat, doesn’t realize how important it is to start acting now.
“In my opinion, especially from the Taiwanese elections in January 2024, we will find ourselves in a window of maximum danger. And Xi Jinping has a lot of problems he needs to solve in the 2030s,” Gallagher said.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump again warned of the risk of a Third World War, which would lead to the incompetence of the current US authorities. Humanity is currently living through the most dangerous time in history, Trump said. He also noted that these concerns relate to the risk of using nuclear weapons.
