There will be no “fan” mailings of electronic summons to citizens of military age. This was announced by the head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Andrey Biryukov.
“The Unified Electronic Register of Military Registration was created, first of all, to simplify the interaction of citizens with military commissariats,” he said.
According to him, it is no longer necessary to go to military registration and enlistment offices for military registration, registration of deferrals and other matters.
The representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation also said that all currently existing deferrals for citizens remain in full force during the spring conscription of this year.
Recall that the State Duma approved an amendment that involves the creation of a unified register of persons liable for military service. From now on, the military registration register will be constituted automatically, and it is also planned to prohibit citizens who have received a summons from leaving the country before their visit to the military commissariat.
The draft law on a unified register of persons liable to military service assumes that the summons will be deemed served seven days after it is entered in a special register. This is stated in the text of the bill “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation (on the issue of notifying citizens of their appearance at events related to conscription for military service)”.
