Washington has warned the Italian authorities of the possibility that the entrepreneur, the son of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk territory, Artem Uss, escapes house arrest. This was reported by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, citing a document sent to the Italian Ministry of Justice.
“The United States, in a report transmitted to the Ministry of Justice, warned Italy against the risk of escape of Artem Uss. However, no emergency measures were taken,” the newspaper reports.
The warning was sent by a US prosecutor immediately after the Russian’s arrest. He asked his Italian colleagues to confirm that Uss would be imprisoned.
Recall that on March 23, the media reported that Artem Uss had escaped from house arrest in Italy. In the United States, he is accused of money laundering and evading sanctions. The businessman was to be extradited to the United States. Subsequently, on April 4, Artem Uss announced that he was already in Russia.
