Syrsky: Russia uses 1.5 ton bombs in Bakhmut to intimidate

Ukrainian Armed Forces Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrsky believes that the Russian military is using one and a half ton bombs in Bakhmut to intimidate the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After such attacks, only a pile of stones from high-rise buildings remains, so Ukrainian formations cannot use them to create fortresses.

Earlier, British intelligence MI-6 warned the Ukrainian General Staff that the Russian army was preparing to strike with one and a half ton bombs the fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of Bakhmut. British intelligence recommended taking this into account when defending the city and dispersing units so that they would not be destroyed in air attacks.

The situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is complicated by the fact that there are no more civilians in the western regions of Bakhmut, and now the fortified areas there are razed.

Russia uses guided and free-fall bombs extensively against targets in Ukraine. About 100 uses of general-purpose bombs of the KAB, FAB and UPAB series and thermobaric bombs of the ODAB series weighing from 500 kg to 1500 kg are carried out per day.
