The Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of former Metropolitan City Deputy Ilya Yashin *, who was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison for spreading false information about the actions of the RF Armed Forces during the SVO in Ukraine. It is reported by TASS.
“The court has ruled: the trial decision in the Yashin IV case remains unchanged and his defense’s appeal is not satisfied,” one of the judges on the panel announced.
Recall that on December 9, the Meshchansky court in Moscow sentenced ex-MP Ilya Yashin to 8.5 years in prison for spreading false information about the actions of the RF Armed Forces during the SVO in Ukraine. He did not admit his guilt. On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the verdict. He said he did not consider it appropriate to intervene and challenge the court’s decision.
