Ukraine has asked France for data that could allow Ukrainian aviation to operate at ultra-low altitudes in Belarus. Paris refused this request, then Kiev sent a request to other countries.
The publication Le Monde specifies that the digital map of Belarus (DTED) is an important tool for the preparation of combat missions.
“The DTED gathers all the tactical data necessary to fly at very low altitude, at night or in conditions of poor visibility”, specifies a media source.
In Paris, they stressed that they would continue to support Kiev, but there could be no talk of assistance with operations on the territory of other countries.
Earlier, Ukraine’s security service reported that in July 2022 an attempt was made to hijack a Russian plane. However, it ended with a rocket attack on Kanatovo airfield and the death of the Ukrainian army.
