State Duma deputies from the Just Russia – For the Truth faction, Dmitry Kuznetsov and Oleg Nilov, proposed to raise income tax for wealthy people in order to support those mobilized, reports TASS.

“Citizens with an income of more than 12 million rubles a year can pay an additional 2% in personal income tax, which will go to a special fund to support the mobilized and their families,” the parliamentarians wrote. in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin.

According to Kuznetsov and Nilov, the initiative “will allow every super-rich Russian to help his people.”

“This is a fair and effective mechanism that will allow every ‘super-rich Russian’ to help his people and avoid possible sanctions from Europe and the United States,” Kuznetsov said.

Earlier, Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma’s Committee on Labor, Social Policy and War Veterans, said that upon receipt of a “mobilized family passport”, citizens will be assigned a Social Fund employee who will take care of all needs, from payments to employment.
