Nine people were injured in an explosion at a gas well in Yakutia

At least nine people have been injured in an explosion at a gas well in Yakutia. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has shared preliminary information on the consequences of the incident on the ground in the Mirninsky district of Yakutia.

According to the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, on the night of April 27, a gas explosion occurred at a gas production site a few kilometers from the village of Taas-Yuryakh, followed by ignition of the mixture gas-air.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, all victims will be taken to the central district hospital in the city of Mirny.

The causes of the explosion are not yet known, but it is stated that everything happened during repair work inside the well.

Earlier it was reported that a gas explosion led to the destruction of two entrances to an apartment building in Novosibirsk, killing more than ten people.
