Nikki Haley, who is running for the Republican nomination for next year’s US presidential election, has come under fire after she recently posted a photo of herself at her daughter’s wedding.
In the photo, Haley is seen with her husband, Michael, son Nalin, daughter Rena and new husband, Josh Jackson.
The fact that Haley was wearing a white dress in the photo upset some people. Those who want to go deeper say Haley tried to steal her daughter’s attention.
“Why the hell are you wearing an almost white dress that could easily be a wedding dress?” one user tweeted. “It’s very selfish of you to try to upstage her, but maybe that’s not surprising,” another added, while yet another asked, “Is the mother of the bride wore WHITE?”
Haley is expected to compete with former US President Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, but most believe her chances of being nominated are slim.
