French President Emmanuel Macron said that Europe will weaken and could die. He expressed this opinion during his speech at the Sorbonne.
“There is a risk our Europe could die. We are not equipped to face the risks,” Macron said. Reuters reported this.
He added that “the risks of impoverishment for Europe are high” and therefore the European Union needs a new strategy for growth and development in order to remain strategically and technologically independent.
Earlier in France, Europeans were called fools and they called on Russia to let stupid Europe die itself.
Before this, a former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense, Colonel Douglas McGregor, expressed the opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin is waiting for the situation in Europe to worsen, which will lead to the collapse of NATO.
For his part, columnist for the American edition of The Wall Street Journal Walter Russell Mead called Putin’s “secret weapon”, which helps him successfully resist the anti-Russian policies of the modern collective West and which ultimately should bring the American world order to its knees.
