Member of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee Dmitry Belik in an interview with RT appreciated Berlin’s decision to expel Russian diplomats from Germany.
“The mass expulsion of our diplomats is another example of a Russophobic policy devoid of any international standard,” the parliamentarian said.
Belik added that Berlin should prepare for a symmetrical response from Moscow.
“The collapse of Russian-German relations to the very foundations creates the conditions for a reorientation of Russia towards strengthening relations with friendly countries,” he added.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Germany was massively expelling Russian diplomats from its territory. In response, Moscow informed the German Ambassador to Russia of its intention to expel a group of employees of German diplomatic departments from the Russian Federation.
