The Russian company Avtodom is trying to “keep a finger on the pulse” of reforms in the automotive industry and is one of the first to start working with the production of cars, and not with deliveries.
Nikita Gudkov is convinced that every car plant has the ability to produce both premium and more economical cars, and the former Mercedes plant is no exception.
The autoexpert clarifies that Avtodom defines itself as a group of dealers dealing with high-end cars, so it is likely that the acquired factory will produce high-end Chinese cars using the SKD method. At the same time, the creation of units only from the Middle Kingdom, as other foreign automakers left the Russian market. “I don’t see how we could produce cars from hostile countries,” the car expert said.
Earlier it became known that Chery is considering the possibility of locating production in Russia.
