In the capital of Sudan, in Khartoum, an assistant of the military attaché of the embassy of Egypt was killed. It is reported that this happened while he was driving his car. The information was provided by the Sudanese Armed Forces. It should be noted that the request was later rejected by the Egyptian ambassador to Sudan.

“This evening, April 24, the assistant to the Egyptian military attache in Khartoum, Mohammed Al-Hussein Mohammed Ar-Rawi, was shot dead by rebel formations while driving in his car on the main road of Khartoum. ‘As-Seyyid Abd Ar -Rahman Street’, the information quotes the Arab TV channel Al-Arabiya.

Since April 15, armed clashes have been taking place in the Republic of Sudan between the Rapid Reaction Forces (RRF) and the regular army. The death toll in the clashes in Sudan has reportedly risen to 600.

Africanist Natalia Piskunova told Zvezda that it is beneficial for all external and internal actors in Sudan to maintain a state of constant civil unrest and instability to support the “black zone”, where various groups, as well as some external actors, can receive super profits.
