Seoul has finally decided to expand the list of goods subject to export restrictions for export to Russia, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea.

According to some information, the decision also applies to Belarus. Now the number of varieties of goods subject to export control to the Russian Federation and Belarus will be 798, whereas previously there were only 57.

As mentioned, the updated export control regime will be launched in full mode from April 28. The updated list includes 741 items, including industrial and construction equipment, goods in the steel, chemical, automotive industries, parts for cars over $50,000, drivers and quantum computers , and their parts.

The ministry said preparations for this step have been underway since Feb. 24 and all necessary procedures have already been completed. At the same time, companies that received an export permit before April 27 will not need to re-register documents. Each application will be reviewed individually, and there may be exceptions for companies that meet all requirements. At the same time, the specific content of the requirements has not been announced in the department.
