The forced departure of Fox News star Tucker Carlson has caused a storm of emotions in the media environment. Carlson himself was not given advance notice of what happened, said a Bloomberg insider who asked not to be named given the sensitivity of the matter. The TV presenter ended his Friday night show with the words: “See you Monday.”
Arrogant, confident, always at the center of controversy, Carlson was cable television’s most popular anchor. Its programs were in the top four most popular in prime time. The only programs with a large number of viewers are the NBA playoffs.
