New Delhi, April 26 (UNI) More than nine thousand cases of corona virus (Covid-19) infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 19 patients have died in the same period. Meanwhile, corona vaccination is also going on in the country and in this sequence, 5,407 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. So far 2,20,66,50,086 people have been vaccinated in the country.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, 2,367 active cases have come down to 62,293 during this period. The total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,49,916,736. At the same time, the number of dead has increased to 5,31,398. In the same period, the number of people recovering from corona infection has increased by 11,967 to reach 4,43,23,045.
Odisha has seen the highest increase of 184 active cases in the country during the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 179 cases have increased in West Bengal, 71 in Jharkhand, 25 in Bihar, 55 in Rajasthan, 11 in Chandigarh, eight in Sikkim, two in Tripura. Apart from this, Kerala has the highest number of 1,461 corona cases in the last 24 hours. A decline has been registered.
In the same period, 432 in Uttar Pradesh, 227 in Maharashtra and 215 in Haryana, 136 in Himachal Pradesh and other states including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarhè, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu-Kashmir, Karnataka, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur. A decrease in corona cases has been found in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand.
