Experts told which regions of the Russian Federation and which hotels tourists choose for the May holidays

Tourists have become 20% more likely to book hotels and apartments in Russia for the May holidays than last year, according to a press release from the Ostrovok.ru service.

Experts analyzed the activity of travelers for the period from April 29 to May 10 and established the most popular destinations. St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Territory and Moscow were among the top regions in terms of the number of reservations. High demand was also noted for trips to the Kaliningrad region, Tatarstan, Nizhny Novgorod region, Yaroslavl region, Stavropol Territory, Dagestan.

Service specialists informed about a more than two-fold increase in the number of reservations for hotels in Altai and the Murmansk region compared to last year.

Most often, Russian tourists choose hotels of the “three-star” class (22% of reservations), “four” – about 13%.
