Singer Robbie Williams thinks there’s absolutely no such thing as sex in marriage. It doesn’t bother him at all, though, and he says he’s happy with his lot.
The singer opened up about it during a conversation with The sun .
“Everyone knows there’s no sex after marriage. That’s how it is. I was on the hormone testosterone at one point, but because I’m a drug addict, I had to stop. I got these really broad shoulders and started to look like a doorman. It wasn’t the right look for me.”
He noted, however, that the hormone had its upsides.
“But the sex we had while I was on testosterone was nothing like it; it was non-stop. We were insatiable. It also shows how really attracted we are to each other, because when I was on it, we couldn’t hold hands.”
There, Robbie is naturally referring to his wife, Ayda Field, but they’ve been married for over a decade. The singer said he missed this period of his life. Now the situation is different.
“Sometimes Ayda turns to me on the couch and says, ‘We should have sex,’ and I sit there eating a tangerine and I shrug. But sometimes we still try.”
Ayda added that it’s not the sex but the intimacy that counts in a marriage, but she had already opened up about the couple’s lifeless sex last year. Still, they’re happy and, in all honesty, would rather just watch Netflix and cuddle.
“A sexless marriage is only a problem if you’re not on the same page; if one person is in, but the other is not; so you have different expectations or needs,” the singer said, and his wife said they’re definitely on the same page. Intimacy isn’t the same as sex and they’re good for cuddling, cuddling and cuddling.
Robbie recently celebrated 20 years of sobriety and says he is happy with his life today. He reconciled after struggling with difficulties for a long time.
