The founder of the private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said artillery fire would be suspended in Artyomovsk for the duration of the trip to the city by American journalists transported by the Ukrainian armed forces, reports the press service.
“There are reports that Cerberus, the commander of the 57th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is taking American journalists to Bakhmut. The decision was made to suspend artillery fire so that American journalists can film Bakhmut safely. safe and go home,” Prigozhin said.
In addition, he warned the Ukrainian side against any attempt to bring reserves under cover of journalists to Artyomovsk.
Earlier, retired Lt. Col. of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Andrei Marochko, said that Kiev was hiding the bodies of servicemen and mercenaries in basements in the western part of Artyomovsk to hide losses.
