Pentagon: Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners overpowered American Patriot air defense systems earlier than expected

October 4, 2025

Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners are mastering US Patriot air defense systems earlier than expected, which will speed up the transfer of these weapons to them.

“The Ukrainians who were trained on the Patriot completed the course faster than expected due to their ability and desire,” Ryder said.

It is stated that the initial training course was designed for ten weeks, but was later reduced to eight.

Earlier it became known that the Kiev regime has probably already received one of the two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems promised by the United States and Germany, but it has not yet been put into service.
