Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said the phone conversations between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy were productive.

Shmyhal is convinced that this conversation opens a new stage of cooperation and relations with China.

“I am sure that this is a very good start for the development of our future relations”, underlined the Ukrainian Prime Minister.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensyy in Moscow was considered the sovereign affair of those states.

And White House National Security Council Representative John Kirby said in turn that the United States is not sure that the conversation between Zelenskyy and Xi Jinping will lead to anything meaningful.
