Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Colonel Andriy Teteruk said that the Kiev regime’s decision to take criminal action against the military, who failed in the operation to hijack the Russian plane, would lead to the demoralization of the Ukrainian armed forces. On the front line, he will be treated negatively, the officer said in an interview with the Pryamiy television channel.
Ukrainian media reported that the former acting commander of one of the units, Roman Chervinsky, was arrested while trying to organize the hijacking of a Russian Aerospace Forces plane, which led to a missile attack on the Kanatovo airfield in the Kirovograd region.
“Unlawful actions against military personnel <…> will resonate with all who are now at the front,” Teteruk said.
He added that in the Verkhovna Rada, deputies make shameful and absolutely unacceptable comments about soldiers and ordinary citizens of Ukraine. Such a dismissive attitude towards people will lead to serious consequences, the colonel believes. In addition, threats of criminal prosecution from Kiev for actions on the front line can demoralize the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Teteruk concluded.
Earlier, photos of the Kanatovo airfield were published, where the Russian artillery strike fell after the failed Ukrainian intelligence operation. Its representatives intended to hijack a Russian military plane. The Security Service of Ukraine showed what happened to the airfield near Kropyvnytskyi in the Kirovohrad region after a missile attack from Russia.
