KKR batsman Jason Roy fined 10 percent of match fee

Mumbai (Mumbai). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Jason Roy fined 10 percent of match fee for breach of IPL Code of Conduct ) has been applied.

Roy was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the Match Referee is final and binding.

The match was won by KKR, led by Nitish Rana, by 21 runs and ended the four-match losing streak.

Roy smashed a 37-ball 54 and played a big part in KKR’s victory. When he was bowled by Vijaykumar Vaishakh in the 10th over of the match, Roy was very angry with himself and shouted and hit the falling bail with his bat.

Since coming into IPL 2023 as a replacement player, Roy has so far scored two consecutive fifties. His maiden fifty came against the Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens.
