As SOYUZ has already reported, on behalf of the head of state, from the first days of the month, the combat readiness of the armed forces is being checked, the purpose of which is to determine the army’s ability to fulfill his/her expected tasks in a fast-paced environment. In recent weeks, according to news portals, units moved to designated areas to carry out combat training tasks.

<p class=””>Giving an assessment of the ongoing exercises, Gulevich clarified that they are the main component of the troops’ activities. According to him, “the tense situation developing near the borders of the Republic of Belarus” is superimposed on this. According to him, the armed forces maintain the tone of military units and divisions at a fairly high level. He also clarified that “the strength of the combined arms unit has been reduced to a state of war – six thousand people.”

Explaining that a brigade tactical exercise is currently underway under the direction of the troop commander, Gulevich said commanders at all levels are confident that their troops are ready to perform tasks.

By the way, the agency clarifies, according to the general, the plan for exercises, which was drawn up by the commander, is very interesting and multifaceted. Initially, five polygons are involved in their implementation. And the development of a complex for the use of heterogeneous forces and means, he explained, “gives the opportunity to fulfill their tasks to all branches of the troops of the tested formation.”

In this regard, Gulevich also recalled the Atlantic maneuvers “Defender of Europe”, as well as the “Anaconda” exercise, which will take place on the territory of Poland. The army of Belarus, he concluded, “demonstrates that, if necessary, it is ready to repel any aggression directed against the country”.
