Bank of Baroda Executive Director Devdutt Chand appointed MD
New Delhi. The Central Government has appointed Rajneesh Karnataka as the Managing Director of Bank of India (BOI) and Devdutt Chand as the Chief of Bank of Baroda (BoB). (Head of Bank of Baroda (BoB)) has been appointed. The notification of both the appointments came after the approval of the Appointments Committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a notification issued on Saturday, the Department of Financial Services (DFS) said Rajneesh Karnataka, Executive Director, Union Bank of India, has been appointed by the government as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bank of India for a period of 3 years. Rajneesh Karnataka has replaced Atanu Kumar Das, who completed his three-year term in January this year.
In a separate notification, DFS said that Devdutt Chand, the current Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Bank for a period of 3 years. He will take over on July 1 after the current Managing Director Sanjiv Chadha retires on June 30.
