MP: Heavy rains in many districts, hail fell in Jabalpur

Bhopal. Unseasonal rains are continuing in Madhya Pradesh for the past few days. On Saturday too, it rained heavily in many areas of the state including capital Bhopal, Chhindwara, while hail fell with strong winds in Jabalpur in the afternoon. It is cloudy in Rewa and Sagar and it is also raining. At the same time, due to heavy rains on Friday night in Khandwa, there was a lot of damage to the crops.

It was cloudy in the capital Bhopal since morning, but it suddenly started drizzling in the afternoon. During this period, there was drizzle in many areas, and there was heavy rain in some places. This process continued till late evening. Similarly, in Chhindwara too, it rained heavily with thunder and lightning in the afternoon. The same condition prevailed in other cities of the state. There was hailstorm in the afternoon in Patan, Belkheda of Jabalpur. Due to this the crops standing in the fields got spoiled. The crops of wheat, urad and moong have been damaged due to rain. At the same time, due to the storm and rain, a tree fell on the Patan-Katangi road. Due to this the road was closed.

In fact, it has been raining continuously in many areas in Madhya Pradesh since last one week. On Friday too, there was hailstorm along with rain in many districts including Bhopal, Burhanpur, Khargone, Sehore, Ujjain, Betul. In Sehore district, there was so much hailstorm that it became necessary to shovel the hailstones. Malajkhand and Khargone have recorded more than an inch of rain in the last 24 hours. In Bhopal, it rained all night on Friday. Though the weather cleared in the morning on Saturday, it started raining again in the afternoon with strong winds. Many districts of the state received heavy rains for the second consecutive day on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern will remain changed in Madhya Pradesh till May 4. During this, there will be thunderstorms at a speed of 60 to 65 km per hour in many areas, hailstorm and heavy rain will also occur. The rain system will remain active in the entire state for the next two days. Meteorologists have also predicted lightning. Advisory has also been issued for this.

Senior expert of Bhopal Meteorological Center HS Pandey told that these days it is raining in the entire state. The main reason for this is two Western Disturbances active in North India, which are quite strong. Along with this there is also the effect of cyclone. Another Western Disturbance is becoming active from May 1. Due to this the weather will change for 3-4 days.
