Blinken called the irregular nature of the dialogue between the Russian Federation and the United States on the exchange of prisoners

There is a dialogue between the Russian and American sides on the exchange of prisoners, but the nature of these negotiations cannot be called regular. This statement was made in an interview with Fox News by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

“The dialogue is irregular. We stayed and are in contact through our embassy (in Russia),” he said, answering a related question.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov accused Washington of “hunting” Russians around the world. In particular, the diplomat pointed out that over the past 15 years, 59 Russian citizens have been extradited to the United States under various pretexts, and that currently more than 100 people of Russian nationality remain in the American prisons.
