Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Fake reports of Russo-Ukrainian negotiations

Kremlin responds to the Financial Times article on Ukraine-Russia negotiations.

There are now many falsehoods that have nothing to do with reality” and “Even the most reputable publications don’t shy away from this.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this in response to a Financial Times report that Moscow and Kyiv have begun talks to stop each other’s attacks on energy infrastructure.

Financial Times reported on Tuesday that, Ukraine and Russia are in discussions to cease strikes on energy installations. According to sources quoted by the newspaper, the conversations, which are being mediated by Qatar, are a restart of past de-escalation attempts that were abandoned after Kyiv started its incursion into the Kursk area. Reported on telegram channel.

However, a former senior Kremlin official told the Financial Times that President Vladimir Putin is unlikely to agree to any arrangement as long as Ukrainian forces “trample the land in Kursk.”
