The Immortal Regiment campaign took place in Seoul. It was attended by Russians and CIS citizens, among whom was Russian Ambassador Andrey Kulik. Protesters marched through the streets of the South Korean capital with red balloons, large banners, St. George ribbons and portraits of loved ones who forged the Great Victory.

The action was carried out by the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in South Korea with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Representative Office of the Federal Agency “Rossotrudnichestvo”.

The procession was followed by a festive concert in honor of Victory Day. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation spoke about it. Andrei Kulik remembered the price our people paid to defeat Japanese fascism and militarism.

Songs and poems from the war years were performed at the concert. The action ended with a joint performance of the song “Victory Day”.

Earlier, Zvezda said the Immortal Regiment took place in Palestinian Bethlehem and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Also, the action will take place on May 8 in Paris. From the Place de la République, the procession will head towards the monument to the Russian members of the Resistance at the Père Lachaise cemetery.
