Sigga Kling had a stroke – Says goodbye to rumors of his untimely death

– Published on:

Fortune teller and entertainer Sigga Kling recently suffered a stroke following a blood clot. Sigga attended Bakariið in Bylgjuni yesterday, where she recounted the incident and at the same time said goodbye to rumors of her untimely death.

“And I just couldn’t do anything; I was supposed to have fun at Garðarholt for my birthday and I always show up with a 40 degree temp no matter what happened. And I thought I had low blood pressure; I had never had it but I thought it was described like this on Google, it could be… I couldn’t do anything. Then I get in the car to drive and then I see everything double, triple, quadruple and have trouble speaking and stuff like that. And it hangs over my face in the mirror. But I still think it’s low blood pressure,” said Sigga, who started feeling very weak three weeks ago.

The next day, Sigga felt better, but as the day progressed, her condition got even worse. She felt there was no need to go to the emergency room, but around three o’clock that day, her sister Stína came with licorice, because according to Siggu the only solution was to raise her blood pressure. . Shortly after, ambulances arrived at Sigga’s home.

Blood pressure was fine but ‘like it had been on my face for a week,’ says Sigga, but it turned out she had developed a medium-sized blood clot, which cut off blood flow to the brain and caused a stroke. .

Not the easiest patient

Sigga says she hasn’t been the easiest patient during her stay in Landspítalan these days, and she has discharged herself twice. She has been put on blood thinners and keeps them in an egg tray, which she says is good advice not to forget to take them.

When asked why she reveals her medical history, Sigga says rumors have been started.

“There were rumors that I was on a treat and the ambulances and something. And there’s also a rumor that I died.”

Which is obviously not from the wandering stories, but Sigga says she feels changed. “I have three dots on my brain, whites, which is a shame and I think I like dots so much.” Really, I love polka dots!” said Sigga, who had her hair done and her eyebrows done, just to look good in the coffin, if the stories of wandering come true. She wasn’t going to let Rågna Fossberg take care of the look, but do it herself.

“Life is magic and you can conjure up so many things, and I invoked sickness for me.” I was in a bit of a crisis. I was miserable for three weeks. You don’t listen to me Svavar? Are you watching the coronation? It’s typical of all men I talk to, they don’t listen to me.”

Wants to raise awareness

Sigga wants to raise awareness about stroke symptoms, she says it took her 24 hours to seek help because she thought she had low blood pressure.

What is a stroke and what are the first symptoms and consequences of a stroke? (Taken from hjardaheill.is)

A stroke is the result of a sudden and permanent interruption of blood flow to areas of the brain caused by vascular disease. Disturbance in blood flow can be caused by a blockage of an artery in the brain caused by a blood clot (cerebral infarction) or by the rupture of a blood vessel and bleeding into brain tissue (cerebral hemorrhage). In both cases, the brain cells, which are supplied by the blood vessel, suffer from a lack of oxygen, as well as a lack of other essential nutrients. Part of the brain cells dies, but the function of others is disrupted. Sometimes the symptoms of a stroke only appear for a short time, and this is called transient cerebral ischemia. Various diseases can contribute to stroke. The symptoms that appear depend on the location and size of the damage in the brain.

Early symptoms and sequelae of a stroke

Numbness, weakness or paralysis on one side of the body. Symptoms may be limited to one arm, hand, leg or extend to the whole side Speech disorders such as slurred speech, difficulty finding the right words or forming sentences. Sometimes the understanding of spoken language is impaired. Difficulty reading and writing may also occur Difficulty eating and swallowing Impaired vision in half or part of the field of vision Lack of concentration and memory problems Sensory disturbances, such as impaired sense of time and position Crying, disturbed emotional regulation and personality changes Ataxia ie. reduced ability to do various things Gaumstol, i.e. people want to forget about the half of their body that is paralyzed and do not use it, even if they can move it Urinary incontinence

It is important to seek help as soon as possible and begin medical treatment. Call your doctor even if symptoms seem to return. Call an emergency car on 112 if symptoms worsen. Initial symptoms may include a sudden headache, nausea, vomiting, or loss of consciousness in addition to the above.
