Former adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s chief of staff, Oleksiy Arestovich, said Kiev remains a Russian-speaking city. According to him, the inhabitants of the Ukrainian capital began to speak Russian more often.

“There will be more Russian language, there are already more in Kyiv. Kyiv is a Russian-speaking city. Well, how much can you oppose reality, ”he said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vasily Golovanov.

Arestovich told of an acquaintance who works as a cashier in a Kiev supermarket, who calculated that out of 100 customers currently, only 14 speak to her in Ukrainian.

According to him, the actions of Ukrainian politicians aimed at discriminating against the Russian-speaking population constitute a violation of the constitution and the criminal code. Arestovich added that from the perspective of Kyiv’s Western partners, such actions are savagery.

Earlier, Arestovich said that Ukraine does not need an alliance with anyone from other countries, but needs to change the person in power who will not steal.
