In Novosibirsk, unknown persons tried to burn a decommissioned Su-24 bomber

Unidentified people attempted to set fire to an inactive Su-24 aircraft mothballed in Novosibirsk. They cut the chain mesh and entered the territory of the Chkalov Aircraft Plant, where a 1990 bomber was stationed, the Baza Telegram channel reported.

The attackers tried to burn the plane on video, which was later posted on social media. The police walked around the factory and in fact found a Su-24 with signs of arson.

The aircraft was undamaged, only the grass under one of the landing gears was burned. Meanwhile, in the description of the video, it was said that the plane had completely burned down. In order to prevent the attempted fire from happening again, it was decided to install guard posts at the factory.

Police are looking for arson suspects. Unidentified people appeared on one of the cameras on the territory of the factory.

Earlier, Federal Security Service officers from the Chelyabinsk region arrested three people suspected of trying to sabotage the Southern Urals Railway. On the night of Sunday May 7, assailants attempted to damage relay cabinets on one of the sections of the road.
