But who is Linda Iaccarino, who was chosen by Elon Musk?
Iaccarino started working for NBC Universal in 2011.
Throughout her 12-year tenure, Iaccarino served as Director of Global Publicity and Partnerships at NBC Universal, and was credited, according to the “Wall Street Journal,” with pulling off the best party to measure the effectiveness of advertising, as well as its role in launching profitable services for the company.
Iaccarino has also generated nearly $100 billion in revenue for NBC Universal since he began working with the company in 2011, according to media reports.
Elon Musk announced on Thursday that he had found a new CEO for the social media platform and would begin work in about six weeks.
He added in a tweet, “My role will transition to Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing products, software and computers,” but did not mention the nominee yesterday.
Musk’s relationship with the famous communication site sparked a lot of controversy on different time stations, when he announced his intention to buy “Twitter”, then his desire to withdraw from the deal, before closing it for $44 billion.
His stewardship of the site also caused great controversy, when he fired much of the company’s work team in a move that extended into management positions.
