The Ministry of Health has listed the categories of citizens of the Russian Federation who are entitled to free medicines in 2023

Specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation told which categories of patients are entitled to provide medicines for problems with the heart and blood vessels.

Such measures are taken to prevent cardiovascular diseases in order to avoid recurrence. Moreover, this applies not only to those who are in the hospital, but also to patients outside the medical institution who are under the supervision of a doctor.

More specifically, the provision of medicines concerns those who have had a heart attack, stroke, vascular and heart surgery. So, in 2020, 450 thousand people in Russia were provided with medicines, in 2021 – 673 thousand people, and in 2022 – 824 thousand people.

The list of available drugs is only growing, Ministry of Health officials emphasize. Such provision will continue in Russia in the future. Writes about it Russian newspaper.
