Once the most cited politician in Russia, the father of the Russian privatization program, the former general manager of the Rosnano company Anatoly Chubais is said to be about to exchange a temporary identity card for a permanent biometric card or to order a biometric Israeli passport. Chubais himself denies this information.
The Russian newspaper “Kommersant”, the Israeli edition “Details” and other media today write about the photographs published by the news agency “Voice of Israel”. In the photos, Chubais and his wife Avdotya Smirnova are at the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Nof-ha-Galil.

Political scientists and journalists are still arguing over who allowed Anatoly Chubais to leave Russia.
Previously, the media published the opinion of political scientist Pavel Salin. He believes that Chubais, quotes: “a lot of luck”.
“He managed to realize the scenario that many representatives of the Russian elite would like to implement in the current situation. But they don’t have such an opportunity without the appearance of negative consequences for them,” Salin said.
According to the political scientist, the main plot is not why Chubais voluntarily resigned and left, but how he did it?
“And why was it allowed? Salin asks. – Without the knowledge of Vladimir Putin, this could not have happened. How Chubais managed to convince Putin is a question,” the political scientist said.
