Minister Usha Thakur inaugurated on International Museum Day

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has started QR code based audio guide in seven museums of the state. On Thursday, on International Museum Day, Tourism, Culture and Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Usha Thakur formally launched QR-based audio guides at Lal Bagh Palace in Indore through online medium.

On this occasion, he said that this is a new initiative of the tourism department by connecting technology with history. This innovation will introduce the future young generation to the rich history of Madhya Pradesh in an interesting way. This audio guide is free. It will be our endeavor to provide this type of audio guide facility in future in other state protected monuments and museums as well.

All the guests along with Additional Managing Director of MP Tourism Board Vivek Shrotriya visited Lal Bagh Palace. Everyone listened and appreciated the audio guide by scanning the QR code from their mobile. Shrotriya informed that QR code-based audio guide has been started in Bhopal-based State Museum and Tribal Museum, Lalbagh Palace of Indore, Gujri Mahal Archaeological Museum of Gwalior, Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum of Dhubela and Observatory and Triveni Museum of Ujjain. Prior to this, this facility has been provided at Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center, which has received positive response.

Archaeological Advisor (MP Tourism Board) OP Mishra said that this is the first time that M.P. Audio guide facility is being provided in K7 museum. With this, tourists will be able to easily get gallery-wise information about the antiquities displayed in the museum. There will be an increase in the interest of tourists regarding history.

This technology is already being operated by the Tourism Board with the help of SAGO organization at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre. Also, this technology is on testing mode at Lal Bagh Palace, Indore. Through the Sago Buddy app, tourists will be able to listen to history in audio format by scanning the QR code on their mobiles. QR codes have been installed in museums, which can be scanned to get history, detailed description and complete information.

Sago Travel Buddy is a travel app. The passenger/tourist experience can be enhanced by combining artificial intelligence and travel information. In this audio tour is available in different languages ​​according to the need, interest and age of the passengers. Sago provides information with features such as GPS information, QR code, image search and exhibit number.

You can download the Sago Buddy app by going to the Play Store in mobile. After downloading you have to select the language. After this, by scanning the QR code in the Sago Buddy app, complete information related to the tourist destination can be heard in audio format.
