Meanwhile, US broadcaster NBC reported on Friday that the United States and its allies plan to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, while the planes could come from Washington’s allies. Biden, during a meeting with leaders of G7 nations in Hiroshima, said Washington would support international efforts to train Ukrainian pilots to fly modern fighters, including the F-16.
On Saturday, RG quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko as saying that the West continues to follow the path of escalation in the Ukraine conflict, but that Russia will take it into account in its plans.
