Japan’s Ambassador to Beijing, Hideo Tarumi, was summoned to the Chinese Foreign Ministry and delivered a protest note against the escalation of the situation around China during the G7 summit in Hiroshima. Information about this appeared on the Chinese Foreign Ministry website.

“Japan, which is chairing the G7 this year, along with other countries, slandered and attacked China during the G7 events in Hiroshima, as well as in the G7 joint statement,” the Chinese vice minister of affairs said. Foreigners Sun Weidong to TASS.

He called the exaggeration of the China issue and Taiwan and Hong Kong issues at the G7 meeting “a blatant interference in China’s internal affairs”, and stressed that Beijing “expresses strong dissatisfaction and strong protest.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the G7 decisions “are aimed at a double containment of Russia and China”.

Recall that since May 19, a summit of the leaders of the G7 countries has been held in Hiroshima, the Russian Foreign Ministry has underlined its destructive nature and described it as an “incubator” of initiatives that undermine global stability and international relations.
